People often ask me what “Fontolia” means. Once I explain it to them, they’re still confused. Maybe that’s because this website has grown beyond my original intent from years ago: to build and curate a blog devoted to typography news and history. Fontolia would be a “Land of Fonts,” so to speak. However, over the past few years it has grown to encompass many other categories of design but the name’s still stuck with me. This growth is reflective of my own personal growth and widening interests in the world of design while still keeping in mind my roots. So, in a nutshell, Fontolia strives to inform the design-minded about creative happenings in type, design, and illustration while having fun doing so.
