McDowell Sonoran Conservancy

The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy is a non-profit organization that champions the sustainability of Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve, empowering awareness through scientific research and volunteer stewards that protect and promote the land. The Conservancy is deeply rooted in the protection and scientific exploration of the Sonoran Desert, and that is exemplified in the branding created for them. The logomarks represent the layered approach of their research while symbolizing the natural landscape. Each “layer’s” horizon line is visually constructed using abstracted letterforms present in the wordmarks. The corresponding branding ecosystem and collateral echo this layered approach.
